Upland Gundogs
Jul 29th, 2008 by admin
Here at Sundog Kennels, we accept a limited number of upland dogs each year. In an effort to make sure that your dog receives the maximum amount of attention and training time, we set a limit of ten upland dogs per month.
In a two to four month training program, your dog will be whoa broke, taught to handle, taught to back, be steady to shot, and force broke if necessary.
Your dog will be trained on-site on the Webb Farm. This is a 1,200 acre quail shooting grounds with a rich tradition of upland bird hunting since 1906.
After a starter course on pigeons, your dog will be exposed to numerous coveys of wild quail, surrogated quail, and release birds as training progresses.
Training for upland dogs, including birds, kenneling, and heartworm treatment, is $375 per month.
